ORDERS

Will I receive an order confirmation?

An order confirmation is sent to your email address once the order is placed. It will include your order number, a list of products purchased, and the total amount paid including any delivery fees. If you didn't receive it, please check your spam folder. If you still can't find it, email help@piccolashoes.com and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.

Can I place a custom petite shoe order?

Unfortunately we are unable to take orders for fully custom petite shoes due to limited availability of components sourced directly from Italy. We do offer limited customisation options within our Pre-order collection, including leather finish, colour, and heel height. If you don't see the option you're looking for, please contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll receive a separate email with your tracking number. This sometimes gets sorted into spam or promotions folders, so please check there if you're waiting. Please note that tracking can take up to one week to update, particularly for international shipments — if it looks like it's not moving, it's most likely on its way.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major debit and credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, and Amex. We also accept Shop Pay (pay in full or in instalments), PayPal, and Crypto (USDC). Apple Pay and Google Pay are available on supported devices.

What currencies do you accept?

You can shop for petite shoes in GBP, EUR, USD, AUD, CAD, DKK, NOK, SEK, and ZAR. You can change your currency using the selector in the top right corner of the page. If your currency isn't listed, please get in touch and we'll do our best to add it.

Will I be charged right away when I place an order?

Yes, your card will be charged at the time of purchase. We do not store payment information for security purposes.

How do discount codes work?

Discount codes cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion, or sale. During a sitewide sale, discount codes may be temporarily disabled and will reactivate once the promotional period ends (subject to expiration date). Please note that discount codes do not apply to shipping fees unless otherwise specified. If your code isn't working, please get in touch at help@piccolashoes.com and we'll investigate.

How can I get a discount code?

Our loyal customers and newsletter subscribers get exclusive early access to sales and promotions on our small size women's shoes. Sign up to our newsletter to stay in the loop. I haven't shopped with PiccolaShoes before — how do I choose the right size?

Welcome to PiccolaShoes, your destination for small size women's shoes! We recommend starting by measuring your petite feet — you can find instructions in our Petite Shoes Size Guide. Each product page also includes a size guide with approximate measurements. If you've previously shopped with brands like PrettySmallShoes, The Little Shoe Shop, or MD Petite Shoes, our sizing is equivalent — so if you normally buy UK size 1 (EU 33), you can choose the same size on our website. If you're still unsure, email us at help@piccolashoes.com or use the live chat at the bottom right of the website.

Do you offer half sizes or different shoe widths?

Our petite shoes are available in full sizes only (UK 13 to UK 4 / EU 32–36 / US 2–6), and in standard width (between 8 cm and 8.5 cm). This is due to the limited number of components we can stock, which are sourced directly from Italy.

Will I have to pay international taxes & duties?

For orders shipped to the EU, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Hong Kong, import duties and taxes are collected at checkout (Delivered Duty Paid) for orders placed on or after 16 March 2026. No additional charges will be due on delivery for these destinations.

For all other international destinations, duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer upon delivery and are not collected by PiccolaShoes at checkout. We recommend checking your local customs policy before placing your order.

No import duties or taxes apply to UK orders as we are based in the UK.

Do you have any retail locations?

PiccolaShoes is an online-only store specialising in small size women's shoes. This allows us to keep our pricing competitive and pass the savings on to you. If sizing is a concern, you're welcome to order and try your petite shoes at home and exchange them if the fit isn't quite right.

I need to change or cancel my order — what should I do?

Please contact us immediately with your order number and the details of the change required. Once your order has been processed (typically within 24 hours), we may be unable to make amendments.

PRE-ORDER

What is a pre-order?

Shoes listed in our Pre-order collection are not held in stock but handcrafted from scratch in our workshop by a team of skilled artisans. Each pair of small size shoes is made by hand using an intricate process, and it may take up to 4 weeks to create your perfect pair of petite shoes.

Why should I place a pre-order?

Pieces from our Pre-order collection are made especially for you. You can choose your preferred leather finish, colour, and in many cases heel height, making your petite shoes uniquely personal. Unlike fast fashion, these small size shoes are available to a very limited number of customers.

How do I place a pre-order?

The process is exactly the same as ordering an in-stock item. From the product page, select your size, colour, and any available options, then click "Pre-order" to add the shoes to your basket. Proceed to checkout and complete your order as normal. Please note that pre-order petite shoes can take up to 4 weeks to make, excluding delivery time.

Once your pre-order is placed, you'll receive an order confirmation by email. A few weeks later you'll receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking link.

How long do pre-order shoes take and when will they arrive?

Each pre-order pair of petite shoes is custom-made by our skilled craftsmen. The typical turnaround is 2 weeks, though it can take up to 4 weeks depending on the complexity of the design. This excludes delivery time. For estimated delivery times and costs, please refer to our Shipping Policy.

If you need your small size shoes by a specific date, please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm whether we can fulfil it in time. PiccolaShoes cannot be held responsible for delays in delivery.

Can I return or exchange pre-order petite shoes?

Yes — pre-order petite shoes are subject to the same returns and exchange policy as our in-stock items. You can return your order for a full refund or an exchange within 30 days of receiving it. You can find full details in our Returns Policy.

As a small business, we aim to minimise unnecessary returns. If you have any questions about style, customisation options, or sizing before placing your order for small size shoes, please don't hesitate to get in touch — we're happy to help you find the perfect fit.

When will my order ship?

In-stock petite shoes are typically dispatched within 3 working days. Pre-order shoes are handcrafted on demand and may take up to 4 weeks to make before dispatch. You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order is on its way.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times depend on your destination and the type of product ordered. Estimated delivery times once dispatched are as follows:

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — we ship small size women's shoes worldwide via Royal Mail and trusted local courier partners. For international delivery rates and estimated times, please refer to our Shipping Policy. If your country doesn't appear as a shipping option at checkout, please email us at help@piccolashoes.com and we'll do our best to help.

I ordered multiple items — why didn't they all arrive together?

If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order petite shoes, they may be shipped separately. In-stock items are dispatched within 3 working days, while pre-order shoes can take up to 4 weeks to make. You will only be charged for shipping once.

My order hasn't arrived — what should I do?

We're sorry to hear that! Please first check your tracking information, which was sent to you by email when your order was dispatched. Bear in mind that tracking can take up to one week to update, particularly for international shipments.

If your order is still within the estimated delivery window, please allow a little more time as delays can occasionally occur due to customs inspections, carrier delays, or circumstances beyond our control.

If your order hasn't arrived within 20 working days of dispatch, please contact us at help@piccolashoes.com, via our contact form, or through the live chat at the bottom right of the website and we'll investigate straight away.

Can I request fast delivery for a specific date or event?

We offer express delivery at checkout, but we cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date. If you need your petite shoes for a particular event, please contact us before placing your order so we can advise on whether your timeline is feasible. Please allow sufficient time for both production (up to 4 weeks for pre-order small size shoes) and delivery.

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & REFUNDS

What is your returns and refunds policy?

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your petite shoes, you can return your order within 30 days of receiving it for a full refund or an exchange. Key conditions are as follows:

  • Items must be unworn and in original, undamaged packaging.
  • Items showing signs of wear or damage due to poor packaging will not be accepted.
  • Sale items can be returned for an exchange or store credit valid for 3 months.
  • The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.
  • Delivery costs are non-refundable unless the item received was faulty.
  • Refunds are processed within 7 days of receiving the returned item.

For DDP regions (EU, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Hong Kong), import duties and taxes collected at checkout are non-refundable as they are paid directly to customs authorities.

I've ordered the wrong size — can I exchange my petite shoes?

Yes — we're happy to send you a replacement pair of small size shoes. Please follow the instructions on our Returns & Exchanges page to initiate the process. Please note that if you ordered pre-order shoes, we will need to make a new pair for you, which can take up to 4 weeks, unless your required size is available in stock — in which case we'll ship your exchange straight away.

Is there a fee for returning my petite shoes?

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and will not be refunded. Please refer to our Returns Policy for full details or contact us if you have any questions.

When will I receive my refund?

Refunds are processed within 7 working days of receiving your returned petite shoes and will be credited back to your original payment method.

Can I get a refund if the price has changed since I ordered?

Unfortunately we are unable to refund price differences. Our prices are updated periodically based on stock availability, demand, and other factors, and we cannot retrospectively apply price changes to existing orders.

PICCOLA REWARDS

What is the Piccola Rewards programme and how do I join?

Piccola Rewards is our loyalty programme exclusively for petite shoe shoppers, letting you earn points every time you shop and interact with us. Points can be redeemed for money off your next pair of small size women's shoes. Joining is free — simply create a PiccolaShoes account and you'll receive 200 points (worth £2) straight away. How can I earn points?

  • Signing up — 200 points (£2)
  • Placing an order — 5 points for every £1 spent
  • Liking us on Facebook — 100 points (£1)

How do I redeem my points?

Log in to your account and open the rewards panel. Click on "Ways to redeem" and if you have enough points, a Redeem button will appear. Once redeemed, a coupon code will be generated and can be applied directly at checkout. We'll also send the code to your email for future use. Points can be redeemed in the following increments:

  • 500 points — £5 off
  • 1,000 points — £10 off
  • 1,500 points — £15 off
  • 2,000 points — £20 off
  • 2,500 points — £25 off

Do my points expire?

Points expire on a rolling basis if there has been no points activity on your account for 12 months or more.

Is there a limit on how many points I can earn?

No — collect as many points as you like and redeem them whenever you're ready on your next pair of petite shoes.

Can I use all of my rewards at once?

Yes — once you've accumulated enough points to redeem a reward, you can apply it at checkout on your next order.

What happens to my points if I make a return?

Points earned on a returned, refunded, or cancelled order will be deducted from your account in the amount equal to the points originally earned. If a return causes your balance to go negative, you will not earn new points until your balance returns to zero.

I placed an order without logging in — can I still earn points?

Unfortunately we are unable to retroactively apply points to purchases made while not logged in. We recommend signing in to your account before placing every order to ensure your points are credited.

I forgot to use my rewards code at checkout — can you apply it for me?

Unfortunately we are unable to retroactively apply rewards codes to completed orders. Your code remains valid for 6 months however, so please keep it and use it on your next purchase of petite shoes.

Can I combine my Piccola Rewards code with another discount code?

Only one discount code can be applied per order. If you have both a rewards code and a promotional code, we'd suggest using whichever gives you the greater saving.

I used a rewards code on an order I'm now returning — will I get it back?

Unfortunately Piccola Rewards codes are eligible for one-time use only and will not be credited back to your account in the event of a return. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Where are your petite shoes made?

Our small size women's shoes are designed by European designers, including our Founder Wiola, based in the UK. Each pair is then handcrafted in our workshop in Poland using components sourced directly from Milan, Italy — ensuring the highest quality at every stage of production.

Are any of your petite shoes made using real fur?

Animal welfare is a priority for us. Some styles feature real fur, which is ethically sourced. Each product description will clearly specify whether the fur used is real or faux. Please contact us at help@piccolashoes.com if you have any questions or concerns.

How should I take care of my petite leather shoes?

Almost all of our small size shoes are handcrafted in genuine leather, built to last and provide comfortable wear. Leather still requires care to maintain its qualities over time. Here are some tips:

  • Rotate your wear — leather needs to breathe. Wearing the same pair of petite shoes every day can cause moisture build-up, leading to stretching, creasing, and staining.
  • Clean after each wear — use a gentle shoe brush or a soft, slightly damp microfibre cloth to prevent staining and keep your small size shoes looking their best.
  • Store properly — keep your petite shoes in a dark, dry cupboard, ideally in a dust bag, to prevent discolouration and dust build-up.
  • Avoid getting them wet — if they do get wet, wipe with a soft microfibre cloth and allow them to dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid heat sources such as radiators or direct sunlight, which can damage the leather.
